AHCAP Committees and Taskforces develop projects to help the organization meet its goals and objectives. Specifically, Committees and Taskforces create Action Plans outlining projects; set realistic time-frames to accomplish projects; submit Action Plans to the Board of Directors (BOD) for review; and communicate progress updates on all projects to the BOD through the Council Liaison.

Advocacy Committee
Purpose: To create an awareness of the importance of Advocacy to AHCAP members by providing timely, insightful, and educational articles on healthcare issues at the federal and state level throughout the year, utilizing the communications venue set forth by the Communications Committee.

Affiliated Society Committee
Purpose: To facilitate the development and growth of new and newly-created affiliated societies by serving as an information and communication resource. To promote and encourage the development of new societies.

Communications Committee
Purpose: To assist in member communications, promote educational opportunities and member recognition through publications and award programs.

Community Assistance Initiative Taskforce
Purpose: To provide an approved list of charities in the Annual Conference host city in need of our members' assistance to the AHCAP Board of Directors; support all fundraising efforts for the selected charity; market the charity and program to the membership.

Conference Planning Committee
Purpose: To develop and implement an innovative annual conference program that meets members' educational needs in the areas of professional and personal development; keeping them abreast of healthcare trends and helping improve their technical skills. In addition, the committee is to provide networking opportunities for attendees and outreach to members not in attendance.

Education Committee and Taskforces
Purpose: To develop and implement educational opportunities to meet members' needs and provide an avenue for obtaining Certification, Associate Degree and/or Bachelor's Degree. In addition, provide opportunities to maintain the knowledge "edge" in our profession.

Membership Development Committee
Purpose: To assist the staff in their efforts to increase AHCAP membership through recruitment and retention efforts and to facilitate communication of member benefits between the association and its members.

Nominating Committee
Purpose: To support the one-time project of developing and recommending a slate of candidates to the Advisory Council for the elections.

Scholarship Committee
Purpose: To facilitate the development and distribution of monies associated with the Annual Silent Auction Scholarship Program and to secure resources for additional funding.

Scholarship Fundraising Committee
Purpose: To facilitate the development and execution of the Annual Conference Scholarship Fundraising Raffle by developing on-site programing and on-site management.

Sponsorship Committee
Purpose: To develop and collect annual sponsors for the annual conference.
