AHAP name change update - March 2007
As a result of a potential trademark conflict with the Association for Healthcare Accreditation Professionals, the Association for Healthcare Administrative Professionals has agreed to discontinue use of the AHAP acronym. Since the Association for Healthcare Accreditation Professionals has a pending trademark registration for the AHAP mark, membership is likewise urged to discontinue use of the AHAP acronym in any correspondence, e-mails or other communication or documents relating to the Association for Healthcare Administrative Professionals. We will be communicating further with membership regarding an alternative designation for our Association.
